As part of our annual tradition, this year Putera
MIC Negeri Sembilan with support from Akshara Foundation ushered the Festival
of Lights by celebrating 70 single mothers and mothers from poor families
today. They were invited to a special lunch event where we distributed sarees
and presented ‘ang pows’ to them.
This is the third instalment of Putera MIC Negeri Sembilan’s Lights of Deepavali celebration.
Nothing beats seeing the joy and smile on
their faces as it reminded us how much satisfaction the smallest of acts can
bring and this has in turn made the Deepavali celebrations much more meaningful
for all of us.
