2.10.2016 : Food Distribution Initiative - Malaysian Association For The Blind (MAB)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I had the pleasure of being invited together with Mr. Rhavindran Marappan to support a new initiative by Malaysian Association For The Visually Impaired today. 

In this amazing initiative, free lunch is distributed daily to the blind in KL and Bangsar area beginning today in Malaysian Association For The Blind (MAB)’s complex at Brickfields. From November onwards, daily lunch and dinner will be provided.

Malaysian Association For The Visually Impaired is an organization that have been actively involved in social service and have sponsored many poor people to get free cataract surgery. This free food program is their latest initiative of many programs planned to help the visually impaired.

I am playing my part by contributing monthly to support this program. It is my hope that my dear readers will be able to do the same. You can contribute any amount as no amount is too small. For those who are unable to financially contribute, you can always contribute your time and energy and volunteer during the food distribution (from 12pm onwards) and also for clean-up at MAB’s cafeteria.

This is an amazing initiative by genuine people who are passionate to help the visually impaired and your support would be a great help to the organization. Genuine organizations like these deserve all the support in order for them to continue their efforts to help the needy. 

I urge all youths in Malaysia to take an active interest in volunteering and participate actively in community service. Let us look beyond race, religion and political beliefs and work together towards helping to improve our community. 

Together we work for the community, together we progress.
