Further to our visit on 20th February 2017, on 4th March 2017, once again I joined Persatuan Pembangunan Masyarakat Negeri Sembilan headed by Mohd Aryan to visit poor families at Port Dickson. Also present during the visit was Persatuan Pembangunan Masyarakat Negeri Sembilan's Treasurer, Shereen Mumtaz.
We visited a total of 7 homes belonging to poor families in Port Dickson. However, we only managed to meet 4 families as the remaining 3 were not at home during the time of our visit. However, this was still fruitful as we managed to find out about problems faced by the 4 families and also gave them some cash handout to lighten their burden.
I would like to also take the opportunity to thank Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Sembilan for all their support and contribution given for this program.
We are also identifying common problems faced by the poor families in Port Dickson and are in the midst of identifying effective solutions for these problems. Our target is for all poor families in Negeri Sembilan to have better quality of life, an effort which I will ensure is realized over a period of time.
I believe that it is very important that such 'ground work' is done on a constant basis and efforts be taken to find solutions for problems faced by the people from all walks of life. My principle from the beginning has always been to 'walk the talk' and I hope to always be blessed with the opportunity to live by my principle.
